dc.description.abstract | The effect of NaCl+CaCl2 at 400 and 600 meq on biochemical behavior of two species of Atriplex: Atriplex halimus L. and Atriplex canescens is studied. The proline and the soluble sugars, are admitted like being the biochemical markers for resisting to abiotic stress, are analyzed after one week of stress from leaves (apexes and basis), stems and roots for the proline and the aerial organs for the soluble sugars of plants aged four months. Results show the variability of the accumulation of proline and the soluble sugars according to the plant organ, the species and the intensity of the salts treatment. The accumulation of the proline at the level more in leaves and especially in apexes leaves of Atriplex halimus L. with all the treatments and in basis leaves of Atriplex canescens under moderate salinity at 400 meq compared to stems and roots. Under the more extracts treatments 600 meq, proline becomes important in the stems.. The accumulation of soluble sugar is important in leaves at the two species with all treatments. | en_US |
