Abstract: This study researches the effect of a supplement booster from date refuse based on milk production from ewes and the ponderable performance of their lambs. Sixty-four Berber ewes were divided equally in 2 batches of 32. The main resource is based pastoral grazing of herbage from permanent meadow throughout the year. In addition to this resource, grain stubble up the bulk of the summer feeding, coinciding with the last two months of gestation in sheep, which the experimental group received, a supplement consisting of scrap dates of 350g/animal/day with an energy value of 1.06 UFL was provided. Milk production of ewes estimated by equation including weight performance of lambs show that it was higher in the experimental group (1.14 vs. 0.88 l / day). At lambing, no significant difference is observed between the weight of lambs (P> 0.05) whereas ADG of lambs in the experimental group are more substantial before serfdom (216.7 vs. 167.6 g / day), reflecting the value of mothers milk. Therefore, date refuse are an excellent complement to pasture for females in late gestation.
