dc.description.abstractA phosphate fertilization analysis bearing on the behavior and yield of soft wheat cultivated in irrigated field within the southern Saharan region in Algeria, shows that the addition of phosphorus in the form of triple phosphate, affects all the yield components. The phosphorus amount increases tilling, the number of grains per ear as well as the average grains weight. The highest results, whatever may be the analyzed component, are obtained for highest dose used in such test: i.e. 180kg P2O5.ha- 1. The use of this dose increased the grains yield, in comparison with non-phosphorus sample by a rate of 49.3 %. The absorption of phosphorus by leaves, grains and straws increased within the 0 - 180 kg P2O5.ha-1 experiment range studied. The phosphorus total amounts absorbed by plant increased according to the growth phases. The phosphorus fertilizer use coefficient (CAU) varied from 18.5% for the smallest dose, to approximately 11 % for the highest dose. Such (CAU) values particularly high can be explained by the soil limited fixating capacity of the phosphorus ions despite of the high pH rate.en_US
