Abstract

The participation of Jordanian women in the elections of the House of Representatives (16th) in 2010 of the most important stages of the political participation of Jordanian women, where elections were held after the enactment of election to the House of Representatives No. (9) for the year 2010, which was a meal to increase the number of additional seats allocated to women (women's quota) to the(12) seat.Hence the importance of this study is to analyze the participation of Jordanian women in the elections of the House of Representatives (16th) in 2010, as well as identify the nature of women's quota in the electoral law of the Council of Deputies (9) for the year 2010, and the mechanism applied and calculated way.And know the effect of women's quota in the electoral law of the Council of Deputies (9) for the year 2010 on the representation of women in the Jordanian House of Representatives of Jordan. The study found that women participated in the elections of the Jordanian House of Representatives (16th) in 2010, and positively with the number of candidates (134), and the number of winners of the membership of the House of Representatives (16th) (13) women.And that the method of calculating the quota needs to be adjusted.The study recommended that it be the continuation of the work the quota of women in the electoral law, and that is modified how the women's quota, giving each province, one seat, and thus become all the candidates are competing with the sons of conservatism in the same circumstances and the environment, and this leads to the distribution of seats on all circuits Kingdom, and therefore encourages women to stand for all departments Kingdom.
