dc.description.abstractthe parallel text is one of the key methods to study a given literary text as it leads to a variety of interpretations of the reading text in addition to helping the reader in understanding the text and giving him insights to deal with it. This study is devoted to investigate this technique in Souna- Allah Ibrahim's masterpiece "The Turban and the Hat" in addition to its main genres, the way they are employed and the artistic value they add. Starting by the novel's cover, the writer aimed at shocking the reader by those thresholds scripts which motivates a series of questions about the title coming to the novel's extensions that are included by the writer as implicit expressions which should be well understood by someone who wants accessing to the world of the novel.en_US
