Algerian consumer sensitivity to electricity and gas price’s policy

Abstract

We have reached in this research that there is a committee requires to change tariff of electricity and gas in the Algerian market of electricity and gas; this committee is called independent Algerian commission for controlling electricity and gas that authenticate on any file of taxation submitted by the complex of "SONELGAZ" judge to amend the company's products. The results of the field study, which was on 397 Single in the state of Blida showed great sensitivity of the consumer to "SONELGAZ" products especially electricity. To relieve the concentration of electricity demand in peak hours curve "pregnancy" we suggest experimenting with bilateral pricing "overnight, day and night" on a sample of participants logged in the company and expand gradually, to all the participants that the results were good
