In this work we aim is to evaluate the effect of environment on the accumulation of glycosides in Nerium oleander L. Plant. Nerium oleander L. is a shrub in the family of Apocynaceae. It natives to the southern shore of the Mediterranean Sea, it is the only species of the genus Nerium. It is sometimes called Oleander . Material plants were selected in three regions: Ferdjioua (wilaya of Mila), Constantine (wilaya of Constantine) and Djamaa El-Oued wilaya. The work was realized in three stages: At first, we studied climate and soil of each region. In a second step we made the extraction of glycosides from the roots, stems, leaves and flowers of the Nerium oleander L. In a third time, to see the effect of environmental factors, we assessed the amount of glycosides, in each organ and region. The results of this study showed that the species of Nerium oleander L. contained a larger amount of glycosides, regardless of the region. We recorded (3.8%) in Ferdjioua, (2.8%) in Constantine and (2.7%) in Djamaa. The greatest amount of glycosides was found in Ferdjioua with 3%, followed by Djamaa, with (2.20%) and Constantine with (2.18%). Environmental factors, temperature and humidity and soil are the factors of variability.en_US
