dc.description.abstractThe study aims to identify the self-esteem and its relationship to mental health among the students of Social Work at Al-Quds Open University ( now on QOU) and open relationship with (gender, age, study level)variables. Thus, the researcher has randomly sampled and questionared (80) students, (32) males and 48 females, to measure the level of self-esteem and its relationship to mental health among the students of Social Service in QOU. The researcher Has applied the descriptive analytical method for the appropriateness of the objectives of the study and nature. He has analysed the obtained data using the (SPSS) program. Finally, the study comes out with several results including; (i) that the degree of self-esteem and its relationship to mental health among the students of Social Service in QOU was a high in degree, where the arithmetic average for this class (3.(594)on the total score of the scale of the study, (ii)that the degree of self-esteem among the students of social service in the QOU was a high degree, where the arithmetic average for this class (3.621) on the total score of the scale of the study,(iii). that the degree of mental health among the students of social service in QOU was a high degree, (iv) the arithmetic average for this class (3,567) on the total score of the scale of the study, (v) there is a lack of statistically significant differences at the level of (α≤0.05) in the level of self-esteem among the students of Social Service at QOU due to gender and study level variables, (vi)) there is no statistically significant differences at the level of (α≤0.05) in the level of self-esteem among the students of social work at QOU due to the variable of age and that (vii)there is a lack of statistically significant differences at the level of significance (α≤0.05) in the level of mental health among the students of Social Service at QOU due to the variable (sex, age, school level). and mental health and thei relationship with other variables in order to shed more light on the self-esteem and mental health due to their importance in the life of the individual.en_US
