Abstract: This research aims to chow the importance of the savings of the household sector, as well as to identify its size in the components of domestic savings, and stand on the most important weaknesses afflicting the process packaged in Algeria during the period from 1970 until 2013, and that in order to address the weaknesses and give solutions to raise the level of savings and to reach the prospective ambition. The results showed that the savings families have a great importance as a source for the provision of financial resources to finance investment programs. The results also showed the potential savings considered available to the Algerian families, especially since the beginning of the year 1996. Nevertheless, there are still obstacles to packaged properly, which leads to the lack of actual savings from the savings possible in many cases, most notably the decline in average real per capita income Algerian, which is due to poverty and wide spread unemployment, as well as the pattern of income distribution and a high rate of dependency, and the religious faith of the members because of interest rates, and the growing method of selling in installments with the spread of consumption recreation and lack of awareness of banking and insurance in general, but that is not an obstacle insurmountable, especially if there is an effective policy savings
