dc.description.abstractThe subject of expanding chances for the presence of women in elected councils created a wide and important debate in the Algerian society and also by the politically active individuals, in spite of all the international legal commitments and National Constitutional applied to pursue the equality between man and women and ensure women rights; yet real situations reveal the presence of many obstacles that prevent women from getting all her rights, especially the political ones. This miserable situation pushed the Algerian legislator, took the initiative to promote women’s political rights in the constitutional amendment of 2008, followed by an organic law which identified the mechanisms of the expanding chances for the presence of women in elected councils in 2012. Although there was an increase in the percentage of women’s presence in elected councils after the application of this law; yet it created a wide-ranging debate at the political and the social level. This study aims to investigate the female student orientations, in The Faculty of Law and Political Science, about the representation of women in elected councils through the application of Quota system. From this perspective, this study tries to address the following research problem: Did the system of allocation (Quota), manage to face secretions of the Algerian cultural social environment to achieve a real representation of women? and The extent to which the application of this system features the efficiency and equality according to the female student, in The Faculty of Law and Political Science at university of ouargla? .To discuss that we applied the descriptive approach and the legal approach by using field study as method , through applications form that has been distributed to all the sample population which was 480 female student, then the applications retrieved were 380 and after the analysis and explanation we conclude results, most significant are the following : - The system of allocation enabled women to raise their presence percentage in elected councils to a quarter and more and this made Algeria the first leading Arabic nation in this field. -The system of allocation played a major role in facing the Algerian social and cultural customs which refuse the political work of women The sample study sees that the process of enabling women in all fields needs more development by the active individuals then the need of legal texts.en_US
