Abstract: This study aims to identify life skills to be acquired from training in the institutes of sports and physical activities in the domains of: physical skills, communication skills, social and team work skills as well as psychological and ethical skills. The study aims, also, to control the significance of differences according to both the scientific specialization and academic level variables on the study's sample. Additionally, it relies on a descriptive analytical approach and the application of a questionnaire on a stratified random sample of 108 students from Oum El Bouaghi University about training in the institute of sciences and techniques of physical and sports and the extent to which it provides students with life skills. The study's results showed that psychological and ethical skills came to the fore, then communication skills, then social and team work skills, and at last physical skills. Results, also, revealed the existence of statistically significant differences in some skills while there are none in others. In fact, the lack of statistically significant differences in the whole questionnaire depends on the scientific specialization and academic level variables. In the end; the study was explained in the light of previous studies and it culminated with a number of suggestions and recommendations to enhance training efficiency in the acquisition of life skills for students
