Abstract: Our mission is primarily to know the educational relationship between the image and accompanying text, which we have chosen as a sample of textbooks 5 AP as a model for analysis and study. To do so we have divided our work into three chapters: Chapter I deals with a description of the book V AP study form, and methods of teaching, learning and curriculum used in the teaching of FLE, while the second chapter is devoted to the concept of the picture, types and functions. The third objective is to determine the role of the educational function in school textbooks and determine its relationship to and interest in understanding the text.
