Space has a very important role in literature, it is inseparable from literary creation because it allows the plot to evolve. Above all, it is a setting for action, it can inform about the time of the action, and its social environment. As it can also uncover the psychology of swimming people. The space represented in the literature seems to us significant in relation to the state of society. The authors try to represent space and they give it a symbolic value. Generally, space is found in all romantic works, but the value of space differs from one writer to another, depending on the narrator’s purpose. It is not the real space. Since it is usually a space transfigured by the personal sensitivity and the will of the author. It is, therefore, a representation, a configuration on the plane of the imaginary because each writer is influenced by his space; he transfers it in his text not as a geographical space but as an imaginary space, reinvented by his imaginary. This space is realized in the text through the poetic image and words.

L’espace a un rôle très important dans la littérature, il est indissociable de la création littéraire parce qu’il permet à l’intrigue d’évoluer. Avant tout, il est un décor à l’action, il peut informer sur l’époque au quelle déroule l’action, et son milieu social. Comme il peut aussi dévoiler de la psychologie des personnages. L’espace représenté dans la littérature nous semble significatif par rapport à l’état de la société. Les auteurs tentent de représenter l’espace et ils lui accordent une valeur symbolique. Généralement, l’espace se trouve dans toutes les œuvres romanesques mais la valeur dont se charge l’espace diffère d’un écrivain à un autre, selon la visée du narrateur. Il n’est pas l’espace réel. Puisque il s’agit en général d’un espace transfiguré par la sensibilité personnelle et la volonté de l’auteur. C’est, donc, une représentation, une configuration sur le plan de l’imaginaire car chaque écrivain est influencé par son espace, il le transfère dans son texte non pas en tant qu’un espace géographique mais comme un espace imaginaire, réinventé dessiné par son imaginaire. Cet espace se réalise dans le texte à travers l’image poétique et les mots.
