The view of fist year middle school English teachers about the second generation text book in enriching learners’ vocabulary (nouns)( the case of Ouargla middle schools )

Abstract

This study aims at investigating the view of middle school English teachers on the second generation text book in enriching learners vocabulary ( nouns) in order to check this views we have hypothesised that the Algerian 1st year middle school English textbook enriches and reinforce the learners’ vocabulary , and the Algerian 1st year middle school English textbook content takes into account the vocabulary learners’ needs. To verify the validity of these hypothesis we have conducted a study through which we have seen teachers views by using a form of questionnaire, the questionnaire is composed of seventeen questions and administrated to thirty middle school teacher who taught in Ouargla middle schools and used the textbook of first year at middle school. The questionnaire consists two sections. The first section is about personal information, the second Section is about First year middle school textbook evaluation according to teachers view and the last section is about Teaching vocabulary (nouns) in the “Second Generation “textbook for first year middle school. The discussion of the results did not confirm the hypothesis.

البحث لدراسة نظرة اساتذة السنة الأولى من التعليم المتوسط حول الكتاب المدرسي للغة الإنجليزية في اثراء المفردات لدى التلميذ. وكانت العينة جميع متوسطات بلدية ورقلة. ولاستكشاف ذلك، بنينا بحثنا على فرضيتين الأولى ان الأساتذة يرون ان الكتاب يثري الرصيد اللغوي لدى التلاميذ والفرضية الثانية أن محتوى الكتاب يساعد على اثراء هذا الرصيد اللغوي الديقد اخذه بعين الاعتبار. للتحقق من هاتين الفرضيتين وزعنا استبيانا على فئة من الأساتذة الذين استخدموا الكتاب الجديد المخصص للسنة الأولى من التعليم المتوسط. يتكون الاستبيان من سبعة عشر سؤالا تم توزيعه على ثلاثون أستاذا درس في احدى متوسطات ورقلة باستخدام الكتاب الجديد. بعد مناقشة تحليل النتائج لم يتم ثبوت صحة الفرضيتين.
