Abstract: This study aimed at identifying the reality of teaching oral and written expression, for the pupils of fifth year primary school; and the posed problems, from: 1. The extent to which the teacher takes into consideration the modalities according to which the educational positions of the subject are organized (time distribution, arrangement and progression in the presentation of the material, teaching tools, methods and assessment). 2 - The outputs of the educational process of oral and written expression, represented by some integrated situation activities. The activities adopted in the study varied in order to better evaluate the targeted final competencies. We conclude that most pupils are unable to use their resources and acquisitions and use them in appropriate situations
