Abstract: This article is concerned with studying the issue of strategic vigilance in economic institutions that live in a very hostile, complex environment characterized by a significant flow of information that is no longer easy for them to manage. In this context, our study aims to highlight the reality of the practice of strategic vigilance in the Salama Insurance Company, Algeria, in Guelma and Annaba, and the descriptive analytical approach wasused in addition to relying on the questionnaire and several other statistical tools. The study came to the conclusion that there is an actual application of the strategic vigilance process at the company level, in light of the need to establish a cell specialized in the tasks of this strategy in the company.
