Abstract: The study aims to review the conceptual framework of open creativity and analyze the most important components of it by addressing the theoretical framework of the literature of closed and open creativity management and the importance of the latter institutionally by clarifying the inevitability of institutions adopting it with reference to some of the world’s leading and successful models. The open creativity approach is considered as a means to attract and generate new ideas, as the most important data indicate that there is a great global trend to adopt open creativity, and that in general Organizations are increasingly innovating with external partners. Through cooperation in the field of creativity with various economic sectors, so that open creativity receives a lot of attention in the literature on business administration, and more recently in political discussions. Most of the empirical evidence has been based on case studies that provide clearer insights into some of the best open innovation practices in innovation strategies for organizations globally. The growing importance of open creativity on a global scale in so-called global innovation networks calls for internationally comparable data on open creativity.
