dc.description.abstractThe education is a continuous development process of personality, the educational and pedagogical activities at schools improve various abilities of the learners in terms of knowledge, emotions and skills. From this point, the aim of the article is to highlight the relationship between sport as an academic subject taught in the middle school in Algeria and its coincidence with adolescence period, which is very critical for pupils. The main objective also of this article is trying to change people’s typical conception of sport in the society i.e. people who believe that it is no more than a physical activity. In fact, it is more vital in social upbringing This article is defining exactly sport as a subject referring to some scholars and scientists definitions by tackling various points around this subject at different phases in personality growth, mainly during adolescence. Besides, we are focusing on the psychological and social sides as well. The article deals also with the concept of social upbringing, its characteristics, objectives and relationship with institutions and mainly schools. In short, sport as a subject taught in schools improves pupil’s social behaviour and skills throughout social interaction in the session as cooperation and competition.en_US
