Abstract: The current study examined the assessment of the occupational safety procedures in two productive establishments and a public service institution in southwestern Algeria. The study was conducted on a sample of 201 workers and their average age (40) distributed in terms of type to males (178) and females (23). In order to verify the hypotheses of the study, a questionnaire was constructed based on previous studies, consisting of 46 items, including four dimensions (safety procedures, work environment design, training to prevent hazards, worker perception of risk). The results of the study found that there is a great interest in the safety procedures in the three institutions as they are centrally managed, and that the design of the working environment is in accordance with the Ergonomics standards.
