dc.description.abstractThe cubic equations of state (EOS) are simple and easy with calculation. The method to improve the exactitude of a cubic EOS is by the modification of the parameter temperature-dependent on energy by employing the alpha-function. The industrial applications of natural gas are very broad and in consequence, forecast of the thermodynamic properties and the behavior of phase of natural gas is a significant part of design for such processes. In this work, we develop new α function for the EOS of Peng Robinson (P.R.) with the parameters optimized particularly for natural gas components. The results are compared with the forecasts of the EOS of original P.R. and of other α - functions in literature, One is shown him that new α function presents a good exactitude with an absolute error of 0.999 for natural gas components.en_US
