At the beginning of the production of a well, the pressure of the tank is often enough to propel the hydrocarbons to the surface. It is a so-called "natural" production phase which depends on the characteristics of the tank, it can last from a few to many years. Unfortunately, by expelling the effluent to the surface, the reservoir tends to depressurize because of depletion until it is no longer able to counterbalance the weight of the liquid column in the well. It is then necessary to resort to alternative means of production, called activation means such as (Gaz-lift , ESP). Their purpose may be to keep the tank under pressure or to try to reduce the weight of the liquid column. We studied about those two means at HMD field, 4th zone ,OMJ832 well which was activated by Gaslift . We deduced that using the ESP mean is much more rentable with an increasing ratio of 43 %.en_US
