Abstract: The paper is seeking to semiotically approach the many bodily signs in Arabic poetry relying upon the description and the semantic analysis of some samples as nonlinguistic signs which - within the poetic text -deem to be semantically both meaningful and symbolic,The poet intentionally employs these very signs to achieve certain kind of communication between him/her and the reade,To this linguistic system, might be added another one that is nonlinguistic , which may be deemed as a clarifying device. Aljahidh's statement may be clearly understood and applied when these very two signs : linguistic & nonlinguistic are both adopted, In the same stream added Aljahid that a good style can only be achieved through a good choice of words and signs.
