Abstract

This study aims to identify the resources of psychological and occupational stress among transport drivers in Ouargla, and to know the differences between these resources depending on the personal and organizational variables (the age and experience). Therefore, In order to achieve the objectives of this study, a sample of 103 transport drivers in ouargla has been selected randomly, to applied on them the researcher’s scale of the psychological and occupational stress resources, after studying its psychometric characteristics. The study findings indicated a high level in the resources of psychological and occupational stress, the resources was ranked in descending order: work conditions and organizational processes and work relations and characteristics of the task and the relationship between the driver and the passengers and family relationships, and there are no statistically significant differences in the level of psychological and occupational stress resources according to the age. The study found that there are no statistically significant differences in the level of the psychological and occupational stress resources according to the experience. There is a difference except in the resource of the family relationship ( the most experienced group from 15 years old and more).
