Our work aims at studying the effect of salinity on the germinative behavior of the species Zygophyllum album L .. For this, the seeds of this species were put in a culture medium of KNOP by adding different concentrations of NaCl, (50 , 100, 150 and 200 mM/l). The results obtained after 21 days show that the seeds of Zygophyllum album L. tolerate the moderate saline concentration of 100 mM/l NaCl. The increase in salt concentration delays the early growth rate, the final germination rate, and slows the germination kinetics and the germination stress indication. The chlorophyll content a, b and ab of leaves shows that there is a very highly significant relationship, suggesting the involvement of the species Zygophyllum album L. in adaptation to salt stress-
