This work is devoted to the study of a number of wells drilled in the region of Hassi Tarfa. Hassi Tarfa Reservoir is located in the south-east of Algeria, near the wilaya of Ouargla. This area is a recently discovered structure and has been the subject of a number of investigations for about three decades; it is in the exploitation phase. Two approaches were followed, one approach was focused on the sedimentological study of the reservoir, and the second consisted of the monovariate statistical computation and the correlation that could exist between the different petrophysical parameters. In this study, white light macrophotography was used to obtain high definition photos of cores taken from wells. In the measurement of petrophysical parameters such as porosity, permeability, saturations (in water, oil, gas), standard and computerized conventional methods had been used, of which we mention: the mercury displacement volumetric pump; confinement permeability measurement (CMS-300), Soxhlet and Dean-Stark devices. For calculations and data analysis, we used several softwares; like "Statistica 6.0", "OriginPro-V.9", and "Gimp-V.2.10.8". This study showed that the formation of Hassi Tarfa is not very porous and very compact, or the brittle deformation is dominant. It is characterized by an acceptable oil saturation.en_US
