Abstract

Le héros, depuis toujours, suscite l’intérêt des chercheurs en domaine de la littérature. Dans ce travail, il est question d’approfondir d’avantage cette optique en mettant l’accent sur la métamorphose qui entraîne son suicide en s’intéressant à son statut entre victime ou coupable. La nouvelle de L’étrange cas du Dr Jekyll et de Mr Hyde de R.L.Stevenson représente un corpus pertinent pour traiter ce sujet en faisant recours à une méthode descriptive analytique. Ce travail a pour objectif de donner un nouveau regard du héros tout en s’interrogeant sur les limites de sacrifice de soi.
