Modernization of the local public service: a study of the mechanisms and issues

Abstract

Electronic management is considered one of the best to keep pace with globalization, which offers the speed and quality of service provision to satisfy the customer, thus, Algeria has worked, like other countries, to develop its government administrations through progressive digitization in various sectors. Among the most important of these sectors are local administrations, which seek to bring its public services closer to citizens. In this article, we will try to present Algeria's experience in the development of local public services and to address the most important achievements, obstacles and challenges it faces in achieving this.
