استكشاف تأثير الضغوط النفسية والعوامل الأيديولوجية على المترجم

Abstract

This study aims to investigate the effects of psychological pressure and political, religious and cultural ideologies on the translator. It inspects each element including definitions and explanations; it studies the effect in depth, concluding with the discovery of the means by which to control it or avoid it altogether. In addition to the theoretical study, this dissertation includes a practical chapter, where results of the observations made are demonstrated so as to confirm the fact of affective nature of psychological pressure on the translator during the process of translation. Furthermore, results of the questionnaire taken from a selective sample are presented with the purpose of confirming what was discussed in the part of the theoretical chapter concerning the effect of the political ideology that the translator follows willingly or imposed on him/her, and the role it plays in modifying the structure of the translation. The study also reviews some creative cartoon works and compares between the Arabic version and the English version so as to explore the role of cultural and religious ideologies and their influence on the final translation product. Moreover, the study searches for the pathways that the translator may follow in order to avoid any negative influence pertaining these elements as far as the translation is concerned. Additionally, it explores the role of employers, the work environment, and the Skopos theory and their contribution to decreasing the influence of above-mentioned elements on the translator and consolidating the performance of the translator. Finally, it suggests some appropriate topics for other studies carried out in the same field.

Ce travail de recherche étudie l'impact des pressions psychologiques et des idéologies politiques ainsi que religieuses et culturelles sur le traducteur. De e ce fait, nous abordons chacun de ces facteurs pour inclure des définitions, des explications, une étude approfondie de l'effet, et enfin explorer comment l'éviter ou le contrôler. En plus de l'étude théorique, cette thèse comprend également un chapitre pratique, où les résultats des observations appliquées semblent confirmer l'effet du facteur de stress sur le traducteur. Comme le montre aussi les résultats du questionnaire obtenu lors de l'exécution du processus de traduction, à partir d'un échantillon sélectionné, semblent également confirmer ce qui a été mentionné dans le chapitre théorique de l'étude concernant l'impact de l'idéologie politique, qu'elle soit imposée sur le traducteur ou volontairement suivie, et son impact sur la traduction. La thèse étudie également certains dessins animés de choix en faisant une comparaison entre ses versions en langue arabe et anglaise afin d’explorer le rôle de l'idéologie culturelle et religieuse ainsi que son influence sur ce dernier. La thèse examine également les voies que le traducteur peut suivre afin d'éviter tout impact négatif de ces facteurs sur sa traduction, en plus d'explorer le rôle des employeurs, l'environnement dominant et la théorie de Skopos en contribuant à réduire l'impact de ces facteurs sur la traduction et à améliorer les performances du traducteur. Enfin, nous tachons de suggérer des sujets appropriés pour d'autres études pour la continuité de ce travail.

وتهدف هذه الدراسة إلى بحث آثار الضغط النفسي والإيديولوجيات السياسية والدينية والثقافية على المترجم. وهو يتفقد كل عنصر بما في ذلك التعاريف والشروح ؛ وهو يدرس الأثر بعمق ، ويختتم باكتشاف الوسائل التي يمكن بواسطتها السيطرة عليه أو تجنبه كلية. وبالإضافة إلى الدراسة النظرية ، تتضمن هذه الأطروحة فصلا عمليا تبين فيه نتائج الملاحظات التي أبديت لتأكيد حقيقة الطابع العاطفي للضغط النفسي على المترجم أثناء عملية الترجمة. وعلاوة على ذلك ، تقدم نتائج الاستبيان المأخوذ من عينة انتقائية بهدف تأكيد ما نوقش في الجزء من الفصل النظري المتعلق بأثر الإيديولوجية السياسية التي يتبعها المترجم طوعا أو التي يفرضها عليه ، والدور الذي يؤديه في تعديل هيكل الترجمة. كما تستعرض الدراسة بعض الأعمال الإبداعية للكاريكاتير وتقارن بين النسخة العربية والنسخة الإنكليزية لاستكشاف دور الإيديولوجيات الثقافية والدينية وتأثيرها على الترجمة النهائية. وعلاوة على ذلك ، تبحث الدراسة عن المسارات التي يمكن للمترجم اتباعها لتجنب أي تأثير سلبي يتعلق بهذه العناصر فيما يتعلق بالترجمة. وبالإضافة إلى ذلك ، يستكشف التقرير دور أرباب العمل وبيئة العمل ونظرية سكوبوس ومساهمتهم في الحد من تأثير العناصر المذكورة أعلاه على المترجم وتوطيد أداء المترجم. وأخيرا ، يقترح التقرير بعض المواضيع المناسبة لدراسات أخرى أجريت في نفس المجال.
