صعوبات ترجمة الرتب العسكرية الجزائرية إلى اللغة الإنجليزية دراسة مقارنة تحليلية

Abstract

The military institution is characterized by carful structure and organization, and so is the case with the Algerian People's National Army. The research in hand touches the Algerian military ranks in the context of a comparative study between them and the ranks of the United States of America and the British armies as well as an analytical study. This study aims to identify the areas of difficulty when translating these terms from Arabic as a source language into English as a target language, as well as to highlight the importance of translation to determine the equivalence of ranks between the two armies. Due to the sensitivity of the subject and the scarcity of resources, especially in Arabic, the research relied on conducting personal interviews with military personnel belonging to the Algerian Ministry of Defense and electronic conversations provided by the British Ministry of Defense on its website. In the conclusion, the research suggests rewards for all Algerian military ranks that are linguistically equivalent in terms of importance and hierarchy in the class to which they belong.

L'institution militaire se caractérise par une structure très bien organisée, tout comme l'Armée Nationale Populaire Algérienne. Cette étude porte sur la classification des rangs militaires algériens comparativement aux rangs des États-Unis d'Amérique et britanniques ainsi que d'une étude analytique de cette comparaison. Cette étude vise à identifier les sources de difficulté lors de la traduction des termes spécifiques au domaine militaire, de l'arabe comme langue source vers l'anglais comme langue cible. Cette étude va aussi à souligner l'importance de la traduction pour déterminer l'équivalence des grades entre les deux armées. En raison de la sensibilité du sujet et de la rareté des ressources, notamment en arabe, la recherche s'est appuyée sur des entretiens personnels avec des militaires appartenant au ministère algérien de la défense et des conversations électroniques fournies par le ministère britannique de la défense sur son site Internet. En conclusion, la recherche suggère des synonymes équivoques en anglais de tous les grades militaires algériens qui sont linguistiquement équivalents en termes d'importance et de hiérarchie dans la classe à laquelle ils appartiennent

تتميز المؤسسة العسكرية بالهيكلة والتنظيم الدقيقين، وهكذا الحال مع الجيش الشعبي الوطني الجزائري. تطرق هذا البحث إلى الرتب العسكرية الجزائرية في إطار دراسة مقارنة بينها وبين رتب جيشي الولايات المتحدة الأمريكية وبريطانيا، إلى جانب دراسة تحليلية لهذه المقارنة. يهدف هذا البحث إلى تحديد مكامن الصعوبة عند ترجمة هذه المسميات من اللغة العربية -كلغة أصل- إلى اللغة الإنجليزية كلغة هدف، وكذا توضيح تأثير الترجمة على تكافؤ الرتب بين الجيشين. نظرا لحساسية الموضوع وندرة المصادر، خاصة الجزائرية، فقد اعتمد البحث على إجراء مقابلات شخصية مع أفراد عسكريين ينتمون إلى وزارة الدفاع الجزائرية، ومحادثات إلكترونية توفرها وزارة الدفاع البريطانية في موقعها الرسمي على الإنترنيت. في الختام يقترح البحث مقابلاتٍ إنجليزية لجميع الرتب العسكرية الجزائرية، وذلك من خلال التكافؤ من الناحية اللغوية وناحية الأهمية والتدرج والتسلسل في الصنف الذي تنتمي إليه.
