Since ancient time, human food has depended on plants. It has always been the only remedy for many diseases and epidemics. Hence, these plants have been called medicinal plants for their use in the traditional medicinal aspect. Our study is based on the Balanite plant of the zygophylaceae family , this family, this family is known for its many medicinal uses, it is anti diabetic and is also used against infictions and against larvae. After drying the plant and separating its parts, we carried out the grinding, an extraction by maceration of all the parts of the plant with solvents of increasing polarities and we obtained four extracts after evaporation and concentration of the extracts. Analytical thin layer chromatography was used to identify the components of the chloroform extract, then silica gel column chromatography was used. Some pure compounds were isolated from then chloroform extract. The LC-MS chromatography method was used for one of these compounds. the identification of the chemical formula of these compounds was detected by the usual spectroscopic methods
