Abstract: Public procurement is the focus of the state’s performance and an important mechanism for spending public money, and therefore it enjoys the care and attention of the higher authorities in the country, in order to protect it from various forms of exploitation and corruption on the one hand, and it also enjoys the interest of economic dealers who have interests, to achieve private gains that lead to waste Public interests and the waste of public money, and the decline in local development levels, for this purpose the study seeks to address the reality of corruption in public procurement in the local administration in Algeria, by researching its causes, ways to combat it, and how to correct imbalances, which express the complexity of the factors motivating it and their overlapping, which show The existence of legal loopholes and diligence in how to bridge them is not the only comprehensive solution to combat corruption in public procurement
