Abstract: This study aims to expose the juridical regime for public roads contraventions and conservation authorities; these contraventions result from material violation on the integrity of the road public domain and/or harm to it’s normal use. The conservation authorities practice regulatory and oppressive powers, such as follow-up contraveners for damage to public roads in order to repair it of an friendly regularization, before initiating judicial follow-up in order to raise their criminal and civil responsibility before the ordinary judiciary (Art. 802 c.c.a.p). The legislator distributed competence of exercising public and special powers of conservation police between several authorities by their administrative or judicial affiliation, the extent of the powers granted to each authority and scope of his function. This study was carried out through Algerian law using the analysis and comparative method with French legislation and judiciary. Some results noted on the nature and extent of these contraventions, judicial competence of their conflicts, organization of conservation police of all kinds, and its organic, functional and territorial restricted authority
