دراسة أثر الإنفاق العسكري على الرفاهية في الدول العربية خلال الفترة 1990-2021

Abstract

هدفت هذه الدراسة إلى تبيان أثر الإنفاق العسكري على مستوى الرفاهية، من خلال دراسة قياسية ضمت 18 دولة عربية بالاعتماد على البيانات السنوية للبنك الدولي والبيانات السنوية لمؤشر التنمية البشرية للفترة الممتدة من 1990 الى غاية 2021. ولتحقيق هذا الهدف تم استخدام نماذج السلاسل الزمنية المقطعية panel استنادا على المتغيرين الاقتصاديين الإنفاق العسكري كمتغير مستقل مقاس بنسبــــة مئويـــــة من إجمالي الناتج المحلي، والرفاهية كمتغير تابع سلم قياسه يتراوح ما بين 0 و 1. وقد بينت نتائج الدراسة وجود علاقة عكسية بين الإنفاق العسكري ومستوى الرفاهية أي أن الإنفاق العسكري يؤثر سلباً على الرفاهية في كل الدول العربية وإن النموذج العشوائي هو الأنسب، لأن كل دولــــــة عربية لها سلــــــــوك مختلف عن باقـــــــــي الدول في مجـــــــــال الإنفاق العسكري وسلوكها غير ثابت عبر الزمــــــن.

This study aimed to show the impact of military spending on the level of welfare, through a standard study that included 18 Arab countries based on the annual data of the World Bank and the annual data of the Human Development Index for the period from 1990 to 2021.To achieve this goal, cross-sectional time series models were used based on the two economic variables: military spending as an independent variable measured as a percentage of GDP, and welfare as a dependent variable with a scale ranging between 0 and 1. The results of the study showed an inverse relationship between military spending and the level of welfare, meaning that military spending negatively affects the welfare of all Arab countries. Because every Arab country has a different behavior from the rest of the countries in the field of military spending and its behavior is not fixed over time
