This study aims to search for the effct of money supply on inflation rates in Algeria during the period(1990-2020); and to indicate whether the time series is stable or not, statistical and conomitre tools were used and stability tests were performed as well as the package autoregressive var methodology was reliced upon to study the causal relationship between the two variables due to the absence of a co-integration relationship between them, through amalyzing the data and the results reached, it turns out that there is a unidirectional causal relationship from inflation to the money supply meaning that inflation rates contributed to raising the volume of money supply during the period studied |
