A crop adapted to difficult conditions. The study was carried out at the Kasdi Merbah Ouargla University farm. The aim of our study was to test the varietal behavior of three local populations (Ouargla, Oued Souf and Touggourt) and to study the effect of density (two planting densities) on cabbage production and soil physico-chemical parameters. Results showed that density is the most influential factor on both plant morphology and soil pH and EC. No fertilizers or pesticides were used to control pests. The species has shown resistance to soil physico-chemical conditions and to pests, with strong competition from weeds.
