Abstract: The study aimed at finding out the general IQ of secondary school students in East Nile locality, and to achieve the objectives of the study, the researchers followed the descriptive analytical approach. The statistical package for the social sciences (spss) was used and the following statistical methods were used: one-sample t-test, twosample t-test, Mann-Whitney test, q-test for one-way analysis of variance The study reached the following results: The general IQ of secondary school students is high, and there are statistically significant differences in the general IQ of secondary school students according to the gender variable in favor of males, and there are differences in the general IQ of secondary school students according to the age variable in favor of age (14). year, and there were no statistically significant differences in the general IQ of secondary school students according to the birth order variable, and the study concluded with a number of recommendations and some suggestions for future studies.
