This work was carried out to highlight the paleoenvironment during the Mio-Pliocene in the Beldet Omar region (Wilaya of Touggourt), based on the study of foraminifera. They include both benthic and planktonic forms, and have been assigned to Mio-Pliocene age. These microfossils are entirely recorded in shallow marine environment, their presence in continental deposits indicates transport by fluvial currents.en_US
