This study aims to analyze and understand what teachers mention as annotations and comments on the copies of their students' written productions. In fact, behind any annotation, there was certainly a reason, a cause which provoked an intervention on the part of the teacher, which is why we relied on two research methods: an interview carried out with four teachers of French working at the Bellemkouchem Mohammed middle school and the other a collection of different annotations written by teachers on their students' copies. The study revealed that teachers annotate, and rarely correct, and that the latter exercise through their annotations speech acts such as recognizing, valuing, discouraging, directing by suggesting, etc. These annotations are generally descriptive and evaluative, verdictive, injunctive and explanatory, or communicative and functional. |
