Issue Date: 2024
Abstract: This paper describes a research project focused on the analysis of very high-resolution satellite imagery. It addresses the challenges faced by incomplete data, such as ambiguity, noise, bias and completion. The main objective is to develop systematic tools to extract and characterize objects from these images, especially in urban and remote urban areas. Approaches based on image processing, data fusion and fuzzy logic are integrated to manage uncertainty effectively. The thesis consists of three chapters covering the problem statement, application in the urban environment including pre-processing and data processing, and thematic maps for visualization and information representation.
