“Le magicien d’OZ” du Lyman F.B en manga

Abstract

Ce mémoire vise à étudier l’adaptation en manga du classique littéraire anglais « Le Magicien d’Oz » de Lyman Frank Baum. L’objectif principal est d’explorer les différences et les similitudes entre la forme textuelle du récit et son adaptation graphique, (le manga). L’étude se concentre sur la manière dont l’adaptation manga parvient à transmettre les principaux thèmes et messages de l’histoire originale tout en préservant l’intégrité narrative et les caractéristiques des bandes dessinées japonaises. La recherche se compose de deux chapitres alternants entre théorie et analyse. Le premier chapitre examine l’histoire du récit graphique dans le monde et explique le concept d’adaptation, tandis que le deuxième chapitre examine en détail la comparaison des deux formes d’art. Cette recherche contribue à une meilleure compréhension du processus d’adaptation intermédia, en mettant en avant les spécificités narratives et esthétiques de chaque forme d’expression artistique.

This thesis aims to study the manga adaptation of the classic English literary novel « The Wizard of Oz » by Lyman Frank Baum. The main goal is to explore the differences and similarities between the textual form of the novel and its graphic adaption, (the manga). The study focuses on how the manga adaptation is able to convey the main themes and messages of the original story while maintaining the narrative integrity and characteristics of Japanese comics. It consists of two chapters alternating between theory and analysis. The first chapter examines the history of the comics around the world and explains the concept of adaptation, while the second chapter details the comparison between the two art forms. This thesis contributes to a better understanding of the process of adaptation between media, by highlighting the narrative and aesthetic characteristics of each form of artistic expression.

تهدف هذه المذكرة الى دراسة اقتباس المانجا للرواية الأدبية الانجليزية الكلاسيكية "ساحر أوز" للكاتب ليمان فرانك بوم .الهدف الرئيسي هو استكشاف الاختلافات و التشابهات بين الشكل النصي للرواية واقتباسها الرسومي (المانجا).تركز الدراسة على كيفية تمكن المانجا من نقل الموضوعات و الرسائل الرئيسية للقصة الاصلية مع الحفاظ على سلامة السرد و خصائص القصص المصورة اليابانية و تتكون المذكرة من فصلين بالتناوب بين النظري و التحليلي يتناول الفصل الاول تاريخ الرواية المصورة حول العالم ويشرح مفهوم الاقتباس.بينما يتناول الفصل الثاني بالتفصيل المقارنة بين الشكلين الفنيين.تساهم هذه الاطروحة في فهم أفضل لعملية الاقتباس بين الوسائط من خلال تسليط الضوء على الخصائص السردية و الجمالية لكل شكل من أشكال التعبير الفني.
