Abstract: High-performance, dynamically efficient control techniques are essential factors in accelerating production using electric motors. Among these motors, DC motors occupy an important position in the industrial field due to their rapid response and control accuracy. In this context, sliding mode control (SMC) is a robust nonlinear control method, characterized by its ability to handle systems with inaccurate models and external disturbances. This work focuses on the study and analysis of a DC motor control system using SMC. The first part includes a comprehensive bibliography on DC motors, along with an overview of their components and operating principle. The second part aims to specify and model this machine to develop an accurate mathematical model. The final part applies SMC to the developed model, presenting and analyzing simulation and experimental results to evaluate the system's performance.
