Abstract

Family habilitation and prevention constitute a contemporary sociological approach to studying the family amid modern transformations, viewing it as a social actor striving to achieve balance between traditional values and the demands of modernity. habilitation goes beyond the technical dimension, representing a socio-cultural process aimed at developing family capacities, as well as adaptive and communicative skills, to ensure protection against disintegration and deviance. From a sociological perspective, habilitation is understood as a system of socialization and reintegration, intertwined with the concepts of competence, ability, and skill, contributing to the renewal of the family’s social and cultural capital. This approach is structured around four interrelated levels: a conceptual level, which clarifies key terms; a theoretical level, which employs the frameworks of Bourdieu (habitus and symbolic violence), Durkheim (social integration), and Goffman (management of family roles); a practical level, which proposes training programs in communication, conflict management, parenting education, and digital family qualification; and an evaluative level, which relies on quantitative and qualitative indicators to assess impact. This vision seeks to reconstruct family culture on participatory and humanistic foundations, combining moral and institutional efficiency, and contributing to the design of social policies that protect the family and enhance its ability to adapt positively to the challenges of modernity, digitalization, and gender transformations
