The entry of a child into the labor market at an early age is a social problem that most countries in the world suffer from, especially poor ones, which calls for sounding the alarm and the need to find solutions to address this phenomenon. According to statistics, one in six children in the world works at an early age, or about (250 million). Child laborer) Three-quarters of these children are exploited in what the International Labor Organization calls “the worst forms of labor,” as they work in stifling factories, deadly quarries, unsafe farms, and other dangerous and polluted places . But what is the level of child labor in Algeria and what are the repercussions of their early work on their mental and physical health? This is what this scientific paper will attempt to answer by knowing the reasons for their going out to work at an illegal age and the extent of its repercussions on their psychological and physical health.
