Abstract: Unfair commercial practices are those practices that violate customs, fair and clean commercial integrity, and violating laws, as the Algerian legislator singled out Law 02-04 of July 2004 that specified the rules applicable to commercial practices as a section of it, and with the emergence of electronic commerce as a result of the information revolution, new patterns emerged These practices are unfamiliar in the virtual space. Therefore, this study aims to demonstrate the extent of understanding and application of the traditional rules applied to unfair commercial practices in the scope of electronic commerce. With the help of the descriptive tools as well as the analytical and comparative method, the possibility of adapting and applying these traditional rules in the scope of electronic commerce has been reached, but it remains insufficient given the amazing and rapid development of modern information technologies and the international character of this type of trade.
