Abstract: Today's digital transformation is an imperative that has imposed itself in all spheres. Modern technologies have emerged and touched many fields, including public administration activity. The shift towards e-governance has become a global trend. The e-government project has also emerged, which countries are working to embody through the adoption of information technologies in order to meet the general needs of individuals and achieve social and economic efficiency. Algeria is a country that has sought to develop its public administration in keeping with technological development. The Algerian legislature quickly adapted criminal policy and laws and regulations in line with these developments. The Ministry of Justice, represented by the General Directorate of Prison Administration and Reintegration, has sought to use modern techniques in its various administrative interests to organize and conduct correctional institutions and to reflect the idea of their transition from being a place of detention to a modern institution by modern means aimed at rehabilitating prisoners and reintegrating them into society.
