Abstract: This article examines the issue of the governing law applicable to unilateral obligations. This subject warrants scholarly investigation given the Algerian legislature’s silence on the matter, particularly at a time when unilateral will has become established as a general source of obligation. The article concludes that the conflict-of-law rules pertaining to contractual obligations should be applied to obligations arising from unilateral will, subject to necessary modifications to accommodate the specific nature of unilateral acts
