Abstract: The Algerian stance on the Palestinian cause represents a historical continuum that reflects the deep-rooted bond between the Algerian and Palestinian peoples in their struggle against colonialism and settlement. Algeria supported Palestine even prior to its own independence through the positions of the national liberation movement, and after independence in 1962 it employed its diplomacy in favor of the cause, considering it a central issue in its foreign policy. This was evident in its political and financial support, its positions in international and regional forums, and its consistent rejection of normalization with the Israeli entity. At the dawn of the twenty-first century, Algeria remained steadfast in its stance, reaffirming it at the 2022 Arab Summit and through its current positions regarding the aggression on Gaza, as it continued to provide political, humanitarian, and diplomatic support to Palestine. This historical continuum highlights the enduring principles of Algeria in defending the legitimate rights of the Palestinian people
