| Abstract: | This study proposes an optimization to enhance sustainability and longevity for the
water treatment machines used at “Algerienne des eaux” (ADE) El Hdeb in Ouargla. This
proposition suggests the replacement of a traditional cooling tower as the water cooling
system that wastes 3.84kW of heat energy by a dual heat energy recovery and geothermal
system. This setup shows success in achieving the thermal demand for the winter season
611.11W needed for heating at 20℃, meeting the 861.11 W of energy needed for cooling in
the summer season at 25℃, and ensuring water is in optimal temperature at lower than
24.5℃ suitable for treatment throughout the year. |
