Introduction: Diabetic foot infection is defined as the invasion and multiplication of microorganisms, resulting in an inflammatory response that may progress to tissue destruction. The objective of this study was to determine the epidemiological, clinical, and therapeutic characteristics of patients with diabetic foot, to identify the causative bacteria, and to determine the active antibiotic therapy and follow-up parameters. Materials and Methods: As part of this scientific research, our study was conducted in the Internal Medicine Department of Mohamed Boudiaf Hospital in Ouargla over a period from January 1 to June 30, 2025. Results : The study included 14 patients, with a male predominance (64.3%). The mean age was 64.7 years, with a predominance of patients in the 70–79-year age group. Type 2 diabetes mellitus accounted for )100%( of the cases. Insulin therapy was the most commonly used treatment (57.1%). Ciprofloxacin was the most frequently used antibiotic as empirical therapy (92.3%). Enterococcus spp was the most frequently isolated microorganism (27.27%). Conclusion: Diabetic foot infections constitute a common clinical problem associated with significant morbidity and requiring multidisciplinary management.
