This dissertation presents the successful application of Tubing Punch Technology to restore production in the highly deviated gas well HYR-03 in the Timimoun Field, southwestern Algeria. Production was hindered by a stuck plug and completion restrictions that prevented conventional intervention methods from achieving the desired results. The study reviews the geological characteristics of the Timimoun Basin and discusses modern well intervention technologies, particularly Radial Cutting Torch (RCT) and Tubing Punch systems. A detailed case study of HYR-03 demonstrates how an electric wireline tubing punch was used to establish communication between the tubing and annulus below a permanent packer, enabling gas production without major tubing retrieval operations. The operation successfully restored production to approximately 250–300 KSm³/day, close to the well’s initial rate. The results confirm that Tubing Punch Technology is a safe, efficient, and cost-effective solution for overcoming complex production challenges in highly deviated gas wellsen_US
